Great times last night at Tuckertown. Thank you, Mr. Alex (and Ms. Emily) for your fine hosting.
We played round two of King of the Hill. Most of the decks were different. The results were the same. For two sessions in a row, King Keysar remains King of the Hill. Go Ryan!
Once again, he endured a single loss while trouncing the rest of the field with his Aw Rats mono black deck (Hereby renamed to AWESOME Rats).
Walker ran into some bad fortune and ended up taking home the bacon. Will and Alex and Austin are still stumbling around middle earth.
This week felt a little more variegated with some control decks and even a goblin deck for giggles. And yet those rats propelled Ryan into the season lead (by one win over Alex). There’s enough season left for a change at the top but the rest of us are playing for the bronze medal, at this point.
We ended the night with a little Commando action. Some things are predictable. Ryan will draw a bullseye because his decks are insanely powerful. Alex and Austin will accept the dirty job of keeping the rest of us afloat. Walker’s zombies will go unmolested too long. And, once in a blue moon, Will will sneak in a win. Last night the Naked Tzar (Nekusar) ended up putting Will’s entire library into his hand. Lab Maniac gets cast, an activated ability gets triggered for the draw. Empty library for the cheesy win. All made possible because Tergrid spent the game grazing like an Elk. Fun times.
